how many of you study math because you like it? do you read math outside the uni classroom? if not then why?

Yeah I do it for fun. When I learn a new topic I like to get a paper pencil and ruler and try to figure it out on my own. It's very satisfying to pretend you're an old great mathematician.

I just decided to do the hardest thing I could achieve with reasonably good grades. I’m too dumb for physics and too smart for bio. Chem involves handling poison and flames around retards handling poison and flames so eh.

Kind of. I'm more of a doer than a reader, I like creating more than trying to absorb. Any of you guys do project euler? It's a fun thing to do sometimes.

Enjoyed math in school, did a bachelor's because it seemed like the hardest field of study at the time. Now doing a master's in education and physics. Might try proving Goldbach's conjecture at some point.

I study math out of habit. I don't like it that much though. I think I like hoarding information more than I like solving problems so now I just do it as a hobby.
