Why wouldn’t you reserve your intellectual accomplishments for yourself and only patent or publish to take credit independently?
I’ve recently done published, peer-reviewed computer aided-language acquisition research independently and am following up with computer-aided math pedagogy from a neuroscientific approach. Patents pending.
