Also does 0.000...0002 = 0? if 0.000...0001 = 0, doubling both sides will yield 0.000...0002 = 0

Yes and could double both sides with any integer. It wouldn't make a difference because a infinitesimal number * a finite number is still equal to an infinitesimal number.

infinite = something that has no end or doesn't terminate. An infinite number will never terminate if written in the decimal system.
finite = A number that when written will eventually terminate.
infinitesimal = infinitely small, akin to 1 divided by an infinite number.
You can compare infinitesimal numbers with other infinitesimal numbers and infinite numbers with another infinite numbers. You cannot compare both to finite numbers.

lets take your definition of 0.000...00001, but rather write it down as
y1:= 0.1
y2:= 0.01 et cetera, until you get
yn:=1 /10^n, n representing number a obviously

Then you can say (xn-yn)n would -> to 0.999...9998. Considering although x approaches 1, and y approaches 0, yet the difference of the two approaches 0.999...9998, although the difference of 1 and 0 is obviously 1.
