Is impostor syndrome a psychological or philosophical debate?

If its the former than what psychological phenomena is it related to? If it is the latter then is it purely in the realm of self deception/inability to discern truth?

The feeling that you don't deserve to be there.
The impression you are dumber than your classmates or work colleagues (often you are not)
A pessimistic though that You Ain't Gonna Make It. Wanting to drop out, etc.

The syndrome worsen if you have cheated too much.

It's a sort of Anxiety.

And Anxiety is a mental health disorder.

Anxiety is defined as "It's a feeling of fear or apprehension about what's to come".

So "impostor syndrome" is a kind of "Academic Anxiety".

Impostor syndrome is more common among PhD students (all fields), and STEM undergrads compared humanities undergrads.
Due to more pressure.
