>>13016649"Modern" philosophy does not mean what you think it means but I agree that contemporary academic philosophy is a load of bullshit. However you can structure the major so that you only get history of philosophy. Studying the heavy hitting stuff from Greek, Medieval, and Modern (i.e. 1600-1800) philosophy as well as some 20th century (continental/analytic) is probably one of the most intellectually demanding things you can do in a university, provided the department hasn't been overrun with Marxism and wokeism.
