If my friend tells me that he studied 8-10 hours a day for 14 days for something, I'll study about 4 days and I almost never study over 5 hours in a single day. Never studied more than 15 days for a single exam either. I'd estimate his IQ at 110-120. There's still many other variables that determine how effectively you'll study. Your self-esteem and attitude are very important, your anxiety level, your level of physical activity, general health, self-discipline, studying methods, whether you actively try to understand things or you're just passively reading, whether you're genuinely interested in the topic, whether you know how to pick what to focus on, etc. Being great at solving complex problems doesn't necessarily mean that you'll do good when it comes to memorizing. It's kind of a pointless question, really.
