Constructive Wikipedia Editing Initiative

No.13013867 ViewReplyOriginalReport
The general idea is to improve Wikipedia by providing more accurate information. We can fix Wikipedia from being a shithole if we all contribute. There is strength in numbers. Wikipedia is indexed by thousands of other sites (Alexa, for example), so your reach extends beyond the site itself.

There are four steps.

Step one: birth
Timeframe: immediately
>make an account(s)
>use non-edgy usernames
>if you make more than one account, make sure to only use one account per ip address (having more than one account is not allowed)

Step two: slumber
Timeframe: immediately after birth, lasting for ~5 days
>edit around two Wikipedia articles per day
>if you made multiple accounts, don’t edit the same articles with different accounts
>keep the edits boring and strictly uncontroversial
>do easy tasks, like adding citations, links, and fixing grammar mistakes

After step two, Wikipedia gives you special privileges. By step four, you can make any edit unrestricted.

RULES:
>absolutely do not disrupt the site (do not troll or vandalize)
>edit in good faith, only put down true, verifiable information (preferably with sources)
>follow the rules of the site as best as possible
>remember, you aren’t doing anything wrong and Wikipedia allows and encourages you to edit boldly
>people will dispute you, but Wikipedia rules clearly say that correct information should be added to the site

In short: add correct information to Wikipedia that most people might not know is correct.
