I'm writing a science fiction story where people shrink down and go inside the human body with a bunch of cool vehicles and shit. I'm designing a vehicle, sort of like a TBM, that cuts through bone and soft tissues and harvests/processes nutrients as it cuts. So far, the idea that makes the most sense to me is something like the cutting head of a TBM but with the addition of heated elements that would burn/cauterize the flesh as it cuts.

Ignoring the obvious physical impossibilities of scale, etc. Do you guys have any better ideas than a cauterizing TBM for cutting tunnels/mining through meat?
