I have an object that is hitting another with a flat surface. Experimental results show that after a certain amount of hits the first object breaks, not at the area of impact but on the other side of the element because of vibrations.
I only have Ansys available to use and I’m not sure if a normal fatigue analysis accounts for vibrations. Would it be better to do a vibration analysis separate? Or how would I go about making a FEM simulation for this problem.
