When i was diagnosed with ADHD and was in the process of being diagnosed as autistic someone (idk what title they had) administered a full-scale IQ-test for me to take. She said i was supposed to take the test while on the ADHD medication they prescribed. Is this an indicator that use of medication is fair even if it makes you score higher?
Fair as in putting you on level ground field with neurotypicals.
I wonder what my score had been if i had been taking the meds, which i hadnt that day, because i didnt want to skew the results.
Does anyone know if medication is is viewed as the missing puzzle piece in persons with ADHD and if when on it, they’re considered whole?
I know IQ threads are painfully redundant but the purpose of the thread isnt to discuss IQ as much as it is discussing the reality of diagnoses and treatment.
