Just imagine a 100 year agreement (without Hitler) among Germany, US, and Japan. Going to Mars would be laughable today and we most likely wouldn't even give two shits about it because nuclear power would be seen as the safest and cleanest alternative and we wouldn't be riddled with China's and Russia's bullshit oil and coal.
