1.) Parenthesis first
2.) Power
3.) Multiplication and Division (from left-to-right)
4.) Addition and Subtraction (from left-to-right)
Basically, what's the convention here is that specific parenthesed math expressions can be ignored aka they don't need parenthesis. Why is that useful? Well, you wouldn't like to re-define the order of operations in any new exercise, would you? It would only start looking like a bloated mess:
( (6 / 2) * (1+2) ) , this isn't all too bad, but imagine a bigger one.
Thus, the answer is 9. Of course, you could completely define your order of operations, and get a few faggots to join your little convention you've created. But the majority will never use this and instead take the convention that most agreed on.
