Getting a larger latitude difference than that is well beyond the means of the average person, and once collaboration is required, they’ll just assume the other person did something wrong. Method of Erastothenes is a great experiment to measure the radius of the Earth if you already believe it to be round, but it’s definitely not proof of its roundness unless performed much more precisely than one would naively expect
