I've thought in hypotheticals about the idea of getting into welding and stuff, and I've heard ammonium chloride is good for galvanising the tips of soldering irons. On the topic of buying chemical compounds I've also heard that lead nitrate could be used as a poison against the mice in my house. Would having ammonium chloride and lead nitrate deal with these issues? My house would be much nicer if all the mice died and precipitated onto the floor.
