So, let me see if I got this right; since SpaceX won the project of the lunar lander only, it means that:
1) SpaceX will send Starship Moon and park it in orbit in the Moon.
2) NASA will then send the Orion capsule to the Moon, using SLS, astronauts will then rendezvous with Gateway, leave Orion, board Starship and land in the Moon.
3) Depart the Moon, go back to Gateway, leave Moon Starship in Gateway and take Orion to go back to Earth.
While they could just go in Starship that is way roomier than Orion.
Is NASA retarded? Or is that to justify the existence of Orion/SLS?
