Wouldn't really say that's the cause is it? Baldness comes from a sensitivity to DHT, if you have more testosterone you produce more DHT though. And all the baldness "cures" are drugs that lower your t production and also attack dht I think. But DHT is the main culprit so you can still be balding and have low-t if you're super sensitive to dht.
Or whatever, I don't fucking know.

There is none. Balding is an unintended effect of genes which enhance cognitive ability. Currently humans are evolving genes which negate balding without dampening intelligence.

I read back in the day if you were a lab tech or in that sort of industry you had to be bald. Hair creates static. So professionals in those fields never carried an ounce of hair on them.

Probably the same reason people who descended people who live in malaria-prone areas are more likely to have sickle cell disease. The sickle cell allele gave those people protection against malaria but as a consequence gave them a chance of having the genetic disease. So populations in malaria-prone areas began to all have this trait. It's evolution at work.

So my guess is that baldness originally started as a biproduct of some evolutionary advantage that became irrelevant. Or it's a weird trait that some people have it's not like baldness kills you or anything.

There isn't one you retard. However baldness occurs latter in life, so its only disadvantageous to the host later, once the person has had a chance to breed, thus it stays in the population.
