In the Milky Way there are a few hundred billion stars, and probably the number of planets and moons has a similar order of magnitude.
Amongst the 4341 exoplanets that have been confirmed as of January 2021, a few dozen are considered possibly inhabitable.
Which means that there are probably hundreds of millions of possibly inhabitable planets and moons in our galaxy.
So it is quite likely that alien life exists somewhere in the Milky Way.
What about intelligent alien life, though?
How common do you think it is?
Will we ever make contact with some alien civilization?
Overall, what are your thoughts on the Fermi paradox?
