Dear /sci/, female researcher here. How do you import fucking ASC text files as data?
I have 1) Textedit, 2) Excel, 3) Gauss, and 4) STATA. I can open the file in textedit, but everything is space delimited, I can also open it in Excel, but causes everything to get stuck in a single cell, I cannot import the data into Excel (using data import tool) because it's not in a supported format. I have the same problem in Gauss, STATA import it correctly but I get an error when trying to save the file as Excel.
What am I doing wrong?
