I wish I could bet some money that the dark matter contrarians (mostly armchair /pol/tard kneejerk-mainsteam-hating pseuds) won't be proven right and eventually the dark matter mystery will be resolved with actual matter that doesn't interact with the electromagnetic field. It'd need to be like a 20 year bet to be safe, though
>>12992605>Is it possible that there’s a scale-gradient when it comes to the laws of physics? Like, the laws of physics on a large scale and the microscopic scale don’t perfectly connect and that’s just how the universe works because it doesn’t need any justification?I've seen theoretical physicists bring up this possibility dozens of times in different podcasts/videos I've watched.
My understanding is they're all extremely aware of the possibility but that there's no evidence the laws differ at great scales. I think most believe there's probably no difference or if there is a difference it's probably on incredibly massive scales, like well beyond the scale of the observable universe
Basically no one really has a clue though
