Simplest definition I can give: One's field of awareness that consists of psychological contents (E.g Thoughts, IQ, emotions, memory) that one knows about.

You should get into juingian psychology if you're interested about this sort of stuff about consciousness and the unconscious. Best book I can recommend for a starter is Man and his Symbols by Carl G. Jung.

Also, don't listen to Freud, he's an incestuous ddegenerate pedo.
