Where should I start? My math skills are 0.
Please, help me! I really love physics but the formulas are impossible to understand with my current level of knowledge!

Algebra, geometry, trigonometry are a must (high school level). Start there. Calculus is also important. For college level math complex numbers, linear algebra, differential equations, and vector calculus are important. Real/complex analysis is nice to have too, but not a must for most basic understanding for theoretical physics. Graduate level theoretical physics goes way beyond though.

I think the meme stacks here are really focussed either on maths undergrads (unecessarily detailed amounts of mathematics) and physics undergrads (mostly physics books)

You should start out with some high school level books but I can't recommend any literature because I don't know any good high school level literature.

Really make sure to get algebra down. This is where a lot of people think they "just don't get math lmao!". You have to be able to manipulate equations in your head, it's fundamental.

Well vectors are more a part of linear algebra, but they are usefull for geometry. I think classical electrodynamics is one of the most beautifull physics theories which is super geometrical but is a field theory.

Just wait until you learn about radial and spherical coordinates systems though.

Pic rel is basically all the math youll need untill gradachool, might want to add in a book on complex analysis and PDE's but this is where you should start. Some anons will say it's hard but if you can't read it straight out of highschool you're probably retarded and should be an engineer.

Of course tesla makes use of equations, but, unlike the physics of today it rests in experiment, not fun to imagine math models

What do you "really love" about physics?
It's a giant field and nobody in it 'really loves physics' in general.

Math is the language we use to easily express ideas.
You can still understand why a ball bounces without calculating an infinite set of bounces. Don't let that be a barrier to entry.
