Could we engineer bacteria to survive at Venus temperatures? Volemitol ( a sugar alcohol ) is a polar solvent similar to water but a boiling point of 625 Celsius, the primary reason why high temperature protein variants denature at 200-300 Celsius is because water boils well before then, could we engineer life capable of existing at 600+ Celsius?
