First, you can get it on libgen because it's popular as fuck. It's like on its 15th edition. By that reason alone you might think that it's a good choice. Like Stewart's Calculus.
Second, it's a joy to read. When i did General Chemistry i went to the final exam without having read anything (not even studying from notes), it's just that the past 3 or 4 weeks i would read Chang and and by read i mean literally read it like a book front to back. Not just the parts that had to do with my college course.
10/10 would read Chang again just for the sake of it
