>>12981708>>12981727>What is the evolutionary advantage of this?>Also it's impossible that nature didn't select this. By definition if I was born this was a selected trait from the previous generation, no?When people make these retarded fucking threads, are these people trolling, or are they really this retarded? I assume the latter, because most people IRL are dumb ass fuck, but you think people would at least have a basic degree of scientific literacy on a science board.
Evolution doesn't select for everything you do. If you use a spoon to eat, a screwdriver to screw, and a hammer to hammer, does that mean that nature selected for each and every one of those traits? No. Screw drivers didn't even exist until recent history. Nature does not select for people who know how to use nail file, or screw driver, it selects for a general understanding of tool use. I don't even understand how someone could fail to see this. If you took a shit this morning at 9 am do you think that was predetermined by evolution? If you take your coffee with three sugars and your friend takes it with two, do you think that was somehow subject to evolutionary pressure? Evolution can't select for everything you do or every specific taste you have.
