A cannon is attached to a cart. The cannon is fired and the ball bounces off a wall that is also fixed to the same cart. Will the cart have momentum rolling it to the left, right or be stay approximately stopped?

The canon initially moves to the right due to the ball being fired to the left. Once the ball hits the barrier, depending on the impact, both the ball and the cart stop moving, or on the other end of the spectrum, they both change direction

Some energy is lost due to other variables, but it's also aimed at the top of the machine, so you'd expect energy to be lost due to it tilting. I would venture towards moving a little more to the right.
