The job market for programmers is incredibly favorable, just make sure you're building a portfolio/doing internships during college
You could also do an associates at a community college (virtually free) then spend only your last two years at a university to get your degree with less debt. It doesn't really matter, just get the slip of paper and make sure you're actively working on projects and learning the practical things about programming that they won't teach you in school
