>>12977028Religion, philosophy, mathematics, and science are all different games that work differently.
If you want to prove ”god” scientifically, you just have to play the science game.
Step 1. Formulate your hypothesis.
In this case, you have to precisely define what you mean by god and his abilities. The hypothesis ”god exists" is way too vague. A hypothesis like ”there was a great flood that covered the whole earth a few thousand years ago" would be a workable hypothesis, but then you'd only prove/disprove the flood and not god.
Step 2. Design experiments that will have different outcomes depending on whether or not your hypothesis is true. For example, if your hypothesis is ”god transforms water left in the magical chalice into wine at a rate of 1ml per minute”, put water into the chalice and measure the alcohol concentration over time. Unfortunately if you have a hypothesis like ”god is all powerfull", I don't think you'll be able to design an experiment for that. At most you’d only be able to prove that god is more powerful than any measurement tools we have.
Step 3. Actually run your experiment.
Step 4. Analyse the data, draw a conclusion, and start back at step 1, 2, or 3 if needed.
Step 5. Publish your experiment in a way that other people can reproduce it. Ask for feedback on the experiment design and wait until people try it out. If other people agree that the experiment is well designed, manage to reproduce it, and get the same outcomes as you, congratulations! You'll have proven god!
