>>12973566my personal opinion, and this is just my intuition's take on this, is that there's some kind of an emergent property within the physical reality that our brain operates within, that is most likely responsible for consciousness, that cannot be simulated on a computer yet and the sheer computational power required to properly simulate all these fields and forces so that this consciousness appears in the virtual reality too, would imply that we aren't seeing anything close to it for at least another two centuries
and no, it's DEFINITELY not just linear algebra with a descent algorithm slapped onto it
