I heard about scientific evidence suggesting that it's safe but how do I convince NPCs amid the media outcry? Why doesn't the scientific community correct them?

Isn't it mostly Korea that is up in arms about it, they love to make Japan look bad. My understanding is the risk is low as there is only tritium left, which is not known to be very harmful especially at the low concentrations they would release it at.
The reason releasing it is better is because if they leave it sitting the undiluted tanks of it could leak if there's another earthquake or accident and then it all goes into the ocean and over the land at once.

There is natural radioactivity in the ocean water all over. I found a document that describes everything you can see in their simulations and estimates that the radiation should not exceed what is deemed safe. It's safe for people living there, and certainly if you live nowhere near there you shouldn't worry at all.

Who is they? US sets levels below the WHO guidelines for example. If you read the first document you can see, the water around Fukushima has less radiation than the water around other nuclear plants around the world.

That's just on the halflife in the human body isn't it? What does that prove? The halflife in the water is much higher than in the body, many years not days! The point is, much more radiation is in the water already, once diluted it won't matter to anything. It won't raise the radioactivity levels of the water anywhere near to what's at some places in the world.

Why they can't just re-use the same water to cool the reactors instead of dumping at sea? They could pump water in reactors, collect hot water in storage tank, let cool water then use it again.
