Retarded take. Any life on Venus would have to be a relict of a past biosphere, that adapted to worsening conditions slowly. It would probably exist in the atmosphere only.

Nope. This is old news, it was on the arXiv a year ago. If you look at the actually read the paper the mass spectrometer is insufficient to separate hydrogen sulfide and phosphine fragments, so they have to model and guess which counts were which molecules. It is not unambiguous, hence why this was never reported decades ago when the mission happened.
