What GUI you use? I have License for LabVIEW 2014, what GUI could I get that doesn't look like the shit from 90s?
Bonus question: do you know anyone who makes money using LabVIEW? How much can you make and is it worth it? Tfw doing my bachelor's with LabVIEW. It's not cool, bros, why couldn't it be Python.

I know a guy that built an entire experimental interface with lab view. I once told him I understood some basics of lab view and he proceeded to show me for half an hour what he had built. He was an actual mad man I believe.

Labview was my first exposure to programming in college. It helped show literal connections from function to function.

When I got a job in r&d we did everything in Matlab, but when making drivers in Matlab, the analogy if connecting wires from one module to the next for it to work was very useful

if they only look at the front panel, then there is a certain extent you can edit the buttons and colors. Also why does whether your bsc thesis suceeds or not depends whether it can be used? its a fucking thesis, not a contract with a Big N

OP here. I think it is very easy to get data straight from measuring devices. In my case, I use monochromator and Power and Energy meter. I have no idea how to even get data from those two, if I used Python or anything else.

it is very quick to build prototypes and to tie sensors like thermocouples etc. to it
also it comes with integrated GUI and block / visual programming, so it's good for who is unable to code properly
