If you're still undecided about your major/ underage, dont choose CS as your major
If you like tinkering with things, go with robotics or electrical
If you like theory, choose math
If you like data, go with stats/ data science (meme degree but at least has a focus)
DONT go with CS, if you like coding just get a bunch of CS certs and make a startup.
I'm not at a top 10 school, but the average new CS grad salary at my school is north of 85k, but everyone is incredibly retarded. Employers are going to realize this and the value of CS degrees are going to fucking plummet
You'll have to spend 4 years of your life with some of the most parasitic bugs, and they'll drain you of your life
Some shit I've dealt with in graduate/senior level classes:
>Cant manage git without an IDE, still only force pushes repos
>Spend a whole semester on a parser, had 0 tests, 0 error handling
>People who can't figure out how to MOVE LINES OF CODE, not even in vim or anything
>People who can't follow a basic research paper
>People who can't figure out how to get things from a list
>People who unironically can't understand sets
>People who can't understand pointers 3/4 into a C course
Run away if you can, the wages might look good but we all know its going to dry up soon
