Nassim regularly post math problems on this Tweeter. I would like to give them a try... but then I realize that it's is still out my league. I have only taken Calc 1 & 2 (doing 3 at the moment) what other classes do I need to understand the problems that he posts?

Some schools have a problem solving classes, it's often meant for students that want to compete in the math olympiad.

Also, if you take complex analysis they usually talk about techniques for solving real integrals at the end of the course.

There are no classes. You must just do more problems like that. A class on that would be terrible, they are essentially puzzles that have some way to solve them and the more you solve the easier it gets to come up with new ideas for the next puzzles. Classes are to teach you of ways to get your brain's gears going and help you recognize concepts.
I'm a chemistry major and even though I know I can't solve this I can still "read" it and visualize how I'd expect it to be solved, I'd consider that a success for the classes I've had.

As someone who hasn't touched math in several years, I would unconventionally break it down into a bunch of taylor series, and get an highly approximate answer.

See this is why nobody likes you. Every other field is trying to make concepts as easy as possible so they can move on harder things while here there is no direct approach to solve an integral if not throwing shit at it till one sticks and solve it

That doesn’t work very well for me.
I wish someone would prove (and of course be able to prove) the decidability of equivalence in the ring of periods. Then all nice algebraic calculus problems would be (in theory) solvable.

I think Calc 1/2 should be able to solve this if given enough time to research some identities. Never gonna solve this shit alone without having worked on similar problems like these before. Its all a matter of practice.
I am talking from my experience of physics math classes and I assume Calc 1/2 introduces integrals and substitution.
