>>12966384Yeah, and it kills over half a million people in the US every year, at a very consistent rate. These numbers are comparable to the number of people killed by COVID in it's first year, but as a brand new infectious disease, COVID death rate will drop extremely rapidly over time. However, obesity kills the same number of people every year. In other words, obesity is literally a bigger health concern than COVID (and just to be clear, I'm not a conservative/Trump supporter/COVID conspiracy theorist or anything like that).
Given that we are willing to restrict free speech in the name of disinformation, and restrict free movement in the name of covid, and we are willing to impose other authoritarian measures to combat COVID, we should literally do the same thing for obesity.
Anyone over 220 lbs (unless they're a powerlifter or something) should be banned from going to fast food restaurants. People should not be allowed in movie theaters or concert venues if they're overweight (sedentary entertainment should only be for people at a healthy weight level). People that say that you can be "healthy at any size" should be banned from social media, and preferably, fired from their jobs. If lard asses decide to congregate together and throw a party, and eat cake and shit, then they should be arrested for violating fitness restrictions.
