Nigger. Everybody forgets it. You should be able to re-derive it when you need it.

I remember forgetting my calculator to an exam in some smoothbrain subject like economics so I had to reinvent the algorithm, took me like 3 minutes. Forgot about it again immediately afterwards.

I remember I had some argument with some boomer on /b/ about how there's not really any reason to know long division. He thought that saying you don't need it is like saying it's ok for the pedophile elites to control you, and he was serious. I really hate boomers.

Long division in particular is basically obsolete, these days calculators are everywhere so there isn't much point in knowing how to divide 2 big numbers. Even multiplication is kinda useless though at least it has more applications and it's easier to do in your head. It's pretty natural to forget it and I doubt they even bother to teach it for long.

I forgot almost everything about analysis. I can't even solve an ODE anymore because I didn't use it for years. The only thing I really need is basic linear algebra.
