>>12964083I'm a grad student in math and I also have an interest in philosophy, and I too am often surprised at his basic lack of competence when it come to hard sciences, and his superficiality when it comes to philosophy. To anyone who has spent a lot of time studying any of these subjects, there are only two possibilities: (1) he doesn't know shit about science, math, philosophy, etc., and he is a beneficiary of nepotism, or (2) he is just LARPing as a retard in order to dumb down the material for his audience. Now (2) is a real possibility, and I have no way to prove (1), but everything indicated to me that (1) is correct. Also this dude has corporate shill/glownigger vibes, like he is a mouthpiece for wall street and the political establishment. He has the most cringe political views. He's basically a centrist bootlicker who tries to court the Zionist Republicans and the Centrist dems at the same time, and any time a topic comes up that reflects poorly on the establishment (endless wars, corporate lobbying, intelligence agencies, censorship, mass surveillance, etc.), he is the first person to defend the establishment.
