>>12959221Well, I have a very different experience compared to other people being that i'm rich and well connected politically in the country. I'm technically royalty in the country so that's cool. If I could compare Nigeria to any country on earth, it would be India. Nigeria is a carbon copy of India in Africa (british imperialism, wealth inequality, good sometimes, bad other times, massive population, scamming culture)
Being a millionaire (in USD) here is like being a billionaire in the US. My family is worth 8 figures (USD) so I would have lived comfortably no matter what. You don't actually have to be that rich to be considered rich here. If you make 100k USD a year, you can buy a massive house and compound, send your kids to westernized private schools, have armed security 24/7, and house staff. That was basically my life growing up.
No matter how rich you are, the infrastructure kinda sucks. The main cities aren't bad but the further you get from the center, the worse it becomes. Roads aren't horrible but some are, the internet kinda sucks, can't drink the water (if you are American), etc. And that's if you are rich, if you are poor, though you probably won't starve to death, the resources to progress in life and stay healthy are just not accessible.
