By the time I learned basic algebra I was internally modelling calculus and sorts of equations only solvable with CS. So I learned programming and started doing my middle school homework with it lol

The arithmetic of rationals is so intuitive that it makes a good starting point. Math should be attached to reality at some point. The axioms of math should be based off of things in physical reality to a certain extent. Don't get me wrong, I think the Peano axioms are cool, but do we really need that as opposed to just defining the definition of natural numbers by what happens in real life?
