Really don't know where to ask right now. I have this allegedly 99% pure Potassium Ferrocyanide but when I crystalized a 50ml supersaturated solution in a petri dish at room temp I get this white shit I suspect to be some sort of impurity? From a previous solution I made a few months ago for prussian blue I noticed bitteralmond odor when I came really close to the beaker, I suspected I just made a tiny bit HCN (which doesn't do any harm) by accidentally overheating it but seeing this I am starting to think it is contaminated with actual potassium cyanide. Any ideas?
