>>12944842I believe the airways often swell too and the person often has to be intubated. Its not usually immediate though unless you were drinking boiling oil or something, it takes a few hours for the swelling in the esophagus to arise.
If someone continuously ate very hot food or chugged a very hot drink you think its possible for the heat to reach the heart in any way? And if it did what kind of effect would it have on the heart?
