MRI showed mild herniations of C3-C7 cervical spine. Doctor sent me home with no treatment and said it will pass by itself if I mind my posture and rest. Wtf?
He didn't want to give me any painkillers or muscle relaxants either. Is this normal? He only prescribed a month of physiotherapy but I really doubt it will do any good.

many people have asymptomatic herniations. meanwhile, many people have pain without damage.

just try and stay active and forget about the pain. hopefully it'll go away.

surgery for this would be retarded anyways. not worth the risk unless it's debilitatingly painful.

Go to the gym and so safe exercises with light weights targeting the area. Your goal should be strengthening your muscles so that the area around the herniations is more stable and less force goes directly onto the disc when you are moving about in your life. I have mild scolios, my back pops and cracks on the slightest rotations, possible lumbar herniations, sciatica. All of the discomforts and pains went away after I started daily exercise with a diet heavy on dairy and animal protein. Its not the end of the world, you will be okay. Just take care of your body. Stimulate your body and do not wither away on your chair.

If you have tightness and limited range of movement, the solution is physio, not painkillers.

Just go on YouTube and watch some stretching and posture exercises.

That will fix the problem if you do them daily for at most a couple weeks.

Yes. Unless you're in severe pain that restricts your movement.

As someone who's had 3 herniations at L3-L4, they get worse every time. The first time was just a few weeks of discomfort. The third time i literally couldn't walk or sit for a month and i still have occasional pain 2 years later
