I guess I should clarify. I'm writing a scifi story that takes place on a planet that's always dark. The only natural light would be from faraway stars and geothermal activity. I want to know if it's possible for their sun to only emit nonvisible light, and if so, could they have climates similar to those on Earth? Also, would the sky still appear different during the "day" (like how our sky is blue and the other stars aren't visible), or would it be indistinguishable from night?
