It's almost time: senior thesis.
I'm in my third to final semester of my physics and math program (primarily physics). I want to do a thesis, it's been a goal of mine since I entered college, and I recently found out that it would be a MASSIVE boon to another program I'm in, basically sealing out the rest of the work for this other program simply by merit of completing two semester of thesis research. So basically, I need to do this, absolutely. I also really want to do this, put myself into a research project, really run with something I love, create something original.
But what? What topics? How do I choose? How closely do I have to stay in my old research field? Advice in theses in general is appreciated, and from former physics undergrads in particular.
