Why are people so sure about this when our understanding of gravity was turned on its head twice in less than 400 years.
Do we know the universe is a closed system, do we really know that we can't create energy? Do we really know we can't transform thermal energy?
I mean if the universe was once nothing, something came out of nothing. So does heat death assume there was always something?
