The lights which make up the pixels on your monitor are nothing but a bunch of wires, plastics, and semiconductors which, under the right conditions, emit visible light. Your monitor does not emit information, your brain instead takes the visual data and decodes it into a complex series of electrical signals which you can understand as information.
Life exists as a set of chemical reactions that resist equilibrium, nothing more. Not to say life is meaningless, but the universe continues on with or without us. Time is not just a concept nor a mere invention of man, it is a physical quantity that has existed since creation. Likewise, reality is separate from how life experiences it, they are not one in the same.
