>>12929481It's only tangentially related to your pic, but it's the type of stuff you wont actually here in academia, because it's a small community, and people don't like to talk shit, and you can't find (much) about it online, but there are a lot of rumors about Saul Kripke being a pervert, to the point where it has crossed over into illegal territory. I think there have been some concerns about how he interacts with younger women, especially now that he's getting older, and he's always been a creepy sperglord. IIRC I heard the university has had issues with him pestering female students, and trying to communicate with them outside of the classroom. This was years ago, before all the MeToo stuff, which is probably part of the reason he got away without even much criticism. Actually, I get the impression the philosophical/logical community has sort of protected Kripke. Of course he is from a well-educated, and """privileged""" class of intellectual elites, so different standards apply for him.
If you don't know who Saul Kripke is, I mention him because he runs in the same intellectual circles as Dan Dennett and Steven Pinker.
