All I see is someone providing answers of how what is being asked can be functionally used for the first 3 questions. The last 3 I interpreted as the person on the right simply processing and storing the question in a way that maps to their existing understandings, which would follow their prior functional logic approach. Granted it wouldn't translate to the person on the left very well but the best anyone can do is either provide functional answers or perform a function on questions being asked so that one can learn from, or at least practice and play with, the questions being asked.
Is the person on the left not understanding that computer science is essentially functional mathematics and only concerns itself with how to translate and process real-world data and human provided input so that there is an actionable output in the shortest possible timeframe?
