>>12929764Ah, sorry. Quoted the wrong post.
>>12929897I remembered though. It's after Vincent wakes up outside the dome. Vincent says:
"Why are you being so nice to me, I must have been trouble[...]"
Hoody responds:
"There once was a time when our group enjoyed the kind protection of that place, inside the dome."
"The whole damn city is just one big lie."
"Until you know that a lie is a lie, then it's the truth. Learning how to discern the truth from the lie may be the right thing to do, but knowing the truth will not always make you happy."
Pino says:
"Lies make us happy! Lies... make us happy?"
Hoody:
"That's absolutely right, you're a clever child Pino." (lol)
So yeah, that's where it originated, and the actual quote. I think it would have been better to highlight explicitly that simply learning one thing is a lie does not mean you necessarily have any basis to think you now better know the truth, though it isn't really implied nonetheless. You should never assume you provable have access to absolute truth, and it's not a binary matter, it's a possibility space with elements and their relationships weighted by probability.
