Hello /sci/,
I have a theory. I believe if someone does something enough times, they will be able to have the neuroplasticity to do it. I believe if a population does something enough times, they will adapt to be able to do it without dying.
I have a thought experiment, you and 99 people are trapped on an island. You are the last survivors on Earth. There is barely any food and less than a third of the population are women. You may have to fight for mating rights and eat human meat or raw animals to survive.
What are the consequences of these conditions on the human psyche? What happens when you eat people or raw animals like a lion or bear does? What happens to your teeth? Bone structure? What about prions?
What parts of human bodies would cause prions? Can the population survive prions? How did the Fijians and the other people who got kuru encephalitis survive? How long would it take for this population to be able to healthily eat raw meat and meat from their own kind? Would their IQ be affected?
