I am most familiar with physics and maths, and in basically every topic I did, wikipedia is a great source, both for learning and to revisit something you are rusty on, or to simply check some results, data or ways to solve something.
Psychology and probably other neo-liberal infested social sciences seem to be worse off, but you still can use wiki to study up on topics to get a decent overview and some papers as starting points.
